Hi, I'm Miriam!

I am a fifth year industrial design student at the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. I chose to pursue industrial design because I saw that it had elements of problem solving and creativity, both of which I have always strived for to make life more interesting. I love to work a collaborative environment where there is always a fresh point of view readily available.

In addition to my love of design, I have always had a passion for music and theater. I grew up learning instruments and joining every ensemble I could fit into my schedule. When I entered high school, I joined the drama guild and found out how amazing the theater community is. Though I have been in the ensemble for one show, my heart lies with the crew, where I have been in various roles such as costume design, creation of the lobby display, and some lighting. Now I help out with my local community theater and usher at Playhouse in the Park.

Throughout 2022 and 2023 I have also been working to learn a couple of new skills- ASL and crochet. I have been interested in ASL for years so I started taking ASL classes at St. Rita School for the Deaf and go to deaf events as time allows. I've also been learning to crochet with friends and attend weekly club meetings where I work on personal projects or crochet hats and scarves to be donated. I am always happy to try a new hobby.
